  We had the most amazing 10 days aboard Portland Roads cruising the beautiful Whitsunday Islands. The boat was well prepared and was true to label. Most importantly the kids loved it. Would highly recommend!

  What a great part of the world; and what a great company to charter with in the Whitsundays. We LOVED our boat “Portland Roads” and we recommend this holiday AND this company to everyone. So much fun! Not enough stars to rate this as our favourite holiday ever. It deserves more than 5 stars. And for anyone thinking they can’t do this, Mike will teach you the ropes and is there for you every step of the way with great ideas for places to go. Next time, can we please order some dolphins.   What made our holiday extra special was having John Linton as our skipper. He took us to places we would have never seen if we sailed ourselves plus we enjoyed his humour and the training he provided not only in sailing but also snookering and cooking.

  Linda and I had the most enjoyable experience sailing the Whitsundays on-board the LUCY. This certainly was one of the best holidays we have had, which is quite a statement as we have travelled most of the world.

  Words simply cannot describe the complete holiday that this actually was! We would like to thank John, Mick and all the team at Portland Roads for making this the perfect holiday, 5 days was simply not long enough!!   ‘Portland Roads’ was incredibly an well-maintained boat with very comfortable bedding and lounges that made you feel like home. The kitchen had all the modern appliances needed and the bathrooms were immaculate. The sound system and TV were a great touch, however we didn’t even turn the TV on once in 5 days due to the enjoyment of the trip!

  Cruising around the beautiful Whitsundays in Portland Roads was one of the best holiday experiences. Portland Roads has fantastic facilities and plenty of room. The beds are very comfortable and spacious. We were able to visit many beautiful spots in the Whitsundays thanks to our wonderful skipper John! John exceeded expectation and was the best skipper anyone could ask for! Definitely a must do trip!

  My family of 6 recently completed a skippered charter aboard 'Portland Roads' (Abell Point Marina) after wanting to experience The Whitsundays by boat for several years. At first we weren’t quite sure what to expect with our minimal boating experience, however as soon as we met John (our skipper) all the nerves were settled. John was absolutely amazing from prior to boarding, right through until our goodbyes. He shared stories, incredible local knowledge, the best snorkeling places to visit, boating information & experience and all the while allowing us to completely relax and take in the beauty of the Whitsundays! John showed us all the little intricacies of sailing to provide us with the know-how for when we travel with Portland Roads again on a ‘bare boat’ charter.
